We found this little gem at the Lavender Festival. The service was very friendly, and when they handed me one of the burritos on a plate, I didn't realize how heavy it would be and let it roll of the plate into the dirt (festival grounds). They refused to take my money and made me another even though it was clearly my fault. Luckily, there was a tip jar. The food was incredible with some of the best tortillas you'll find in Tucson.

Del Cielo has been on my 'list' for a couple of years now and my husband and I took the drive over to give a try for lunch. Really cute inside, very clean and most important welcoming! We were immediately welcomed and warmly, asking if we wanted the regular or vegan menu. We are regular types, so that is what we went with. They immediately brought over water (score!) and then a few minutes later took our order. We tried the bean dip/chips, and I got the Chilaquiles (duh, still searching for worlds best) and the hubs got his Huevos Rancheros. ALL of the food was wonderful and delicious. We polished off the chips/dip; which means I had to take 2/3 of the Chilaquiles home for later... not that I am sad about that. What I think I loved the most is the service and how the staff were. Genuinely and warmly welcoming and stayed that way throughout our time. There was this tall young man who had a wicked sense of humor and he was the star given he played along with my husbands non stop joking.

We ordered the novalato plate, the quality was okay, the tamale was good. However the beans were sour, the machaca was extremely burnt and tough. Hurt to pay full price.

Food was flavorful and done well. This is one of my new top places for Mexican food in Tucson. I also love the atmosphere and they had great service. Highly recommend!

Great food, vegan and otherwise. Wish they had a sampler of enchiladas, so we could try different types in their trio. We will be back!
