Amazing vegan spot! Staff was super friendly and the space is very inviting. We were visiting from out of town and were lucky to stumble upon this spot. The shroom melt was phenomenal.

It looks like it would be an excellent eating experience when you come in: the cooks are behind a glassed in kitchen, and look fully staffed. On a Sunday morning, any other breakfast restaurant would be packed; this place? Not so much. Dog friendly, even inside the restaurant instead of just the patio. Horrible coffee, that was lukewarm when it got to the table. It's a vegan restaurant, so you're keeping that in constant mind as you use the oatmilk creamer and stevia packets and brown sugar for sweetener. The pancake was okay, and I hear their sandwiches are good. They make a faux scrambled egg dish with tofu that is mildly seasoned. I hope they can survive, but it'll be by revamping their menu.

It seems to have been a hardware store or garage at one time. It is really is updated very nicely. The old garage door opening is there with seating for a fresh air outdoorsy type feeling. There is also outdoor seating. Inside all upscale type interior. "Alfredo" was our excellent waiter with additional staff serving us. One thing we noticed with Alfredo was his apron with leather shoulder straps and the heavy denim material with lots of pockets and metal shoulder strap holders He was the sharpest looking waiter we have seen in a long time. He could have been a model for selling that Aporn. The Monte Cristo sandwiches for me, have always been a mystery. This restaurant has their own house version of it. I ate all of mine and their accompanying salad. My grand daughter was expecting a different "traditional" version of the sandwich. So keep in mind, restaurants have different versions of that sandwich. Also, they make their own version of butter. I loved it, but my wife who has never liked cheese, didn't like that version. I love cheese and cream..so to me the house version of their butter was a solid 5. Parking is a bit hard to find..this area of Long Beach is parking congested. The restaurant does have a drop off area for those that can not walk any distance. We took advantage of that drop off side street area for my wife, who uses a Walker aka Rollator. Over all we liked the location and interior of the restaurant and service. I liked all their food, wife did not like the house butter, but did like her french toast . Grand Daughter did not expect the house Monte Christo. I liked my Monte Christo sandwich, but noticed the spicyness of the sausage. We sat inside by the original garage door opening..it gave us the affect of dining outside but we were really inside, with a shaded environment. Overall a good experience. I will return again and try their mushroom patty plate. .

I’ve tried to support this place but they seem to not want my business. Drove 45 minutes here twice. Once they were closed on their regular business day, without any post on social media or anything. Just a sign on the door saying that there was a private event. Second time they “ran out of food” and only could only accept orders from reservations . The staff was not empathetic nor cared. I wish them the best as I know that the climate for restaurants, especially vegan restaurants, are difficult right now. But I will longer be attempting to make it down there try their food.

Edited March 16: I love their food like crazy, but they are open 4 days a week for about 4 hours a day and they stopped doing takeout for a while. I don't know how to support a restaurant that I can't buy food from 😭 Original review: The stuffed French toast. I've had it about 7 times now and there's nothing quite like it. GF version with thick corn waffles is also a good flavor. Presentation for takeout is always on point, employees are always nice.

The food is delicious but it is never open! This makes the third time I’ve driven here only for it to be closed. I will not be making this long drive again.
