This place has been around forever, and you can truly feel the love in every corner—even if it's a little run down, the warmth more than makes up for it. I especially love that it’s women-owned and run. They recently added Vegatinos to the menu and wow—chef’s kiss! It’s so special to have amazing, thoughtful food like this right here in the Valley, and so close to my mom’s house. A must-try spot with heart and flavor!

Leonor’s Restaurant is a staple for the plant-based community in the 818 Valley. Through the years Leonor’s has made some changes, now becoming a collective that has provided a home for other plant-based businesses as well. But one thing that has never changed is Leonor’s dedication to their mission of being health-conscious while serving delicious food. My admiration goes out to the two women running the show, the beautiful Miss Liz and her gorgeous daughter Emily, for making every meal with love and carrying on the legacy of Leonor García. Leonor’s is more than a restaurant, it’s a home and a community full of Latina women who have helped pioneer Vegan/Vegetarian cuisine in the city of LA. If you’re ever in the area, stop by and check it out. You’ll be greeted with beautiful smiles and amazing service. My favorites are the chicken salad pita, the empanadas, and of course, their one of kind flaxseed tea.

I’ve had the pleasure of visiting Leonor’s Restaurant multiple times, and each experience just gets better. The empanadas filled with mushrooms, spinach, and cheese are absolutely delicious — honestly, they’re some of the best I’ve ever had. The food tastes fresh and you can really feel the love and care that goes into every dish. The staff are incredibly friendly and welcoming — shoutout to Elizabeth, who was so sweet and made the experience even more enjoyable. The vibe here is casual and inviting, making it a perfect spot to relax and enjoy a healthy, flavorful meal. I especially recommend trying their “chicken” sandwich, “chicken” salad, and enchiladas — everything I’ve tried has been consistently great. Don’t miss their iced tea, which is a nice, caffeine-free refreshment. What really stands out is their passion and commitment. From the attentive customer service to the attention to detail in every bite, Leonor’s shines as a top-tier dining experience. Whether you’re craving traditional Mexican comfort food or creative, plant-based dishes, this place never disappoints. No wonder it’s my favorite restaurant — it delivers bold flavors and warmth every single time.

Very friendly people and services but i wish i can say about the food it was bland i ordered a burrito and the tortilla was bland the rest of the food was ok no salt so i added salt same taste very tasteless and bland i wish them the best but i think ill pass this place i feel bad because the people were very friendly and make you feel welcomed

Now that Vegatinos is here too, I have to say — this spot just keeps getting better! Between Leonor's Mexican Restaurant and Vegatinos, it’s like having the best of both worlds in one place. And the real magic? Carol and Liz. These two amazing women are the heart and soul of it all. Their warmth, passion, and commitment to their craft shine through in every interaction and every bite. The customer service is top-tier, the attention to detail is unmatched, and the food? Absolutely delicious — every single time. It’s no surprise that this is my favorite restaurant. Whether you’re craving classic Mexican comfort food or something plant-based and bold, this place delivers every time. Love them both so much — Carol and Liz, you’re truly the dream team!

Outstanding service and great food

So they are sharing the same space with Vegatinos. So if you used to eat at Vegatinos at the parking lot under the tent so now they have permanent place every day. This brought back some memories. The first time I ate their, I had the torta (sandwich) and the tacos from Vegatinos. The second time I had empanadas from Leonor with mushrooms, spinach and cheese, it was sooo good. The staff is very friendly. You can tell they prepare the food with love.
