Service was wonderful, busy evening but every staff member I encountered was smiling and happy. The food came out hot and in a reasonable time. Definitely a new favorite spot 😊

Today, my husband and I went to Donna Jean for their brunch. We were looking forward to trying the brunch items; however, our experience was instantly ruined by our server, Frankie. We ordered drinks, and I asked for my orange juice to be served with my meal. She didn't seem to understand me, so I repeated myself again, and her response was, "What? I don't understand what you're saying! What language are you speaking? Then she proceeded to say something that sounded like gibberish. I don't even have a heavy accent or an accent at all! I then said it slower, and said, "I want my drink to come with my meal!", and my husband reiterated the same thing. She was extremely rude! I can't believe you would hire someone like that! We are normally big tippers but only left her a 10% tip. We shouldn't have left anything at all. We had reservations for dinner for Wednesday night, but we will be canceling them. BTW, we ordered the Mother Load & my husband ordered the Spanish Omelette. We were not impressed. What an awful way to treat your vegan customers!!

I ordered bread for delivery based on the picture, but what I received looked more like a hard, dry pancake, and it was refrigerator cold. Very disappointing. I wish I could share a photo to show the difference. Unable to eat.

Due to our negative customer experience with the woman with the nose rings, this was our first and last time patronizing this establishment. 1st issue: We ordered takeout. The food was not ready, so we had to wait an additional 10 minutes for our food. We noticed silverware and naps weren't included in the bag, so we went back inside the restaurant. 2nd issue: We drove off and noticed one of the condiments were missing. Initially we thought it was the garlic butter, but when we went back in, we were told the garlic infused oil was actually the garlic butter for the bread. 3rd issue: We ordered a salad and asked for the dressing on the side. The woman with the nose rings insisted that she placed it in the bag. She demanded to see the takeout bag. She checked the bag. When we asked about the salad dressing for the Really Good Salad, she then insisted that the salad does not come with a dressing. Even though it's listed on the website, I ordered it, and the receipt said dressing on the side. After going back and forth a few times, we were finally able to receive the salad dressing. The issue here is that the young lady wanted to debate about a small container of salad dressing even after the guy from the kitchen brought the salad dressing out. She displayed some of the worse customer service skills. We spent about $140, including a 20% tip. We were very disappointed by our experience and prefer to take our business elsewhere. This is a teachable moment. Hopefully this team member receives customer service training and can work on communication skills.

Of all the places I've eaten in San Diego, this one takes the prize. Yardena, my server, was amazing. She was extremely personable and attentive, but also gave plenty of space to enjoy the meal without feeling like someone was hovering. Pro: I love it when staff ask about any food intolerances before ordering. Despite her thorough knowledge of the menu, she tripled checked with the kitchen about my chickpea intolerance before I placed my order. I felt like Yardena really enjoyed her job and the food they prepared. Really, she was a gem. Even if you don't get Yardena, the food is worth the visit! Had the strawberry lemonade. It was a great balance between tart, sweet, and strawberry. The caesar salad was delicious. The croutons was excellently crunchy and I enjoyed the way their saltiness balanced with the greens and dressing. I might have had a hard time picking a pizza, but I don't regret my choice. The Killer Queen was phenomenal. Bold flavors. Spicy. Cooked to perfection. I don't think I've ever had a pizza that has tasted that good. It made for excellent (cold) leftovers - which is a extra big win in my book. And to top it all off -- planted-based!!! Great for vegetarians and vegans. With how amazing everything tasted, I would totally bring my omnivore friends and coworkers as well. While I dined alone and felt completely comfortable with the experience, I would love to return with my +1 to be able to try and share more dishes. The portion sizes are generous, and I definitely took home 2/3 of my pizza. While they accommodate walk-ins, I would suggest making reservations when possible. Such a intimate and well-loved venue!! And I love their logo.

We were excited to go to their new location but it was really disappointing compared to their previous location. Our server was non existent and it took an hour+ to get our Pizza. Hope it is just growing pains with the new location and they did give us small discount. Will try it again soon to hopefully better result
