That was spot on. Having just moved to the Bay Area from Singapore, I really needed this. The curry puffs are spot on. The char kway teow is enough to comfortably feed three. Next time I'm getting the katong laksa. I really had high hopes for this place, and it blew them away. Chef Emily Lim really knows what she's doing. And the guy she hired to be up front couldn't have been nicer.

Singaporean food is very close to my heart. My husband grew up in Singapore, and many of our cherished memories are tied to its culture and cuisine. Living in Columbus, OH, it’s nearly impossible to find authentic Singaporean food. So when I had to make a last-minute trip to San Francisco after a close friend passed away, I reached out to Dabao Singapore hoping to find a little comfort in familiar food. Even with a very tight schedule, the team (especially Alyssa and Emily) went above and beyond. They were responsive, thoughtful, and made sure everything was ready exactly when we needed it. I’m so grateful for their kindness and care. The food was incredible: chili crab, black pepper crab, Hainanese chicken rice, and char kway teow. It was the real thing. A few people walking by even stopped to ask what we were eating, and it turned into a spontaneous little gathering. Kinda cool to be reminded how food can bring people together when we need it most. Thank you again to the whole team for making that possible.

fantastic gem of a spot and found entirely by accident! delicious and service is also terrific -- alex is the nicest guy ever. so glad i found it. the char kway teow is especially great. a fave in the area
