Gracias Madre is one of those rare places where the vibe, the mission, and the menu are all working in sync. First off, the setting is beautiful—lush courtyard with string lights and enough greenery to feel like you’ve been transported to a calm little garden oasis in the middle of West Hollywood. It’s stylish but not trying too hard. Plenty of places in LA feel curated for Instagram—this one feels curated for an actual experience. The all-vegan Mexican menu doesn’t miss. Even if you’re not plant-based, you won’t feel like you’re compromising. The coconut ceviche is unexpectedly addictive—bright, citrusy, with that perfect little bite. Their version of enchiladas is rich, complex, and deeply satisfying, and the tamales are pure comfort. What they do with cashew crema and housemade tortillas is basically a form of culinary witchcraft. Cocktails are top-notch too—thoughtful, balanced, not overly sweet. The margarita with house-infused tequila is a must, but the seasonal mezcal cocktails are where they really shine. Service is consistently warm and attentive without being overbearing. And while the place is always buzzing, it never feels chaotic. You leave feeling nourished—in every sense. Whether you’re a full-time vegan or just someone who appreciates thoughtful food, Gracias Madre absolutely earns its spot as an LA classic.

Trendy location, gorgeous establishment! The people were wonderful and kind, the food was creative and delicious! Their fixed-price lunch menu is so worth it: the horchata is legit, the agua fresca is seasonal; the cashew queso fundido is to die for, the hearts of palm ceviche was my first ceviche ever, so tasty; the masa cake with huitlacoche was superb!

I had such a wonderful experience here! Amazing food, great vibes, and excellent customer service from Friday Garcia(manager) and Antonio (server)! Definitely will be coming back! I also want to acknowledge Julio (server), Fred (who brought us our food), and Andrea. They were so amazing and made our experience coming back even more wonderful. Thank you again!

This place is amazing!!

It’s a very beautiful location. We had a reservation, yet we were put-off by the hostess who said our table wasn’t ready (even tho it was a weeknight and there were plenty of open tables) she made us wait an extra 20 mins to be seated. The bartenders and servers were wonderful. The lions mane tacos were excellent, the rest of the food was ok. We ordered the churros for dessert; and the inside seemed uncooked. The lovely waiter brought us a new plate, but the inside still had a doughey uncooked texture. We were served the wrong drink, which the lovely waiter fixed as soon as we informed him. It all just added up to a bad overall experience.
