Veganish Cafe

Don’t let the name for you, everything on the menu starts out vegan. This somewhat bizarre menu gives the option to add egg or tuna to anything of your choice. Anything not vegan, including pastries, are clearly labeled. If you avoid those items, however, you have a vegan’s paradise. The food is affordably priced, delicious, and comes out quickly. The staff was informative, kind, and happy to answer questions. This is some genuinely delicious food in an otherwise not very vegan friendly city. I highly recommend it!

Even if you’re not vegan I strongly recommend this place for any food! I experienced the vegan “fish” tacos and they were filling, flavorful with a hint of spice in the sauce. The atmosphere was inviting with upbeat music. Very much a cafe style establishment but definitely recommend sitting in if you have time. I also ordered their fries and they were hot and crunchy. A great place to get a healthy, quick and tasty bite or a tasty sweet treat from their bakery options at the counter😋😋😋

To my vegan brothers and sisters: Wow wow wow wow wow… I stopped by on my way to the ferry to pickup food to-go and I’m so glad I did. The vegan “chicken” tacos and the “beef” patty were so amazing. Definitely stop by if you find yourself in Bridgeport

Amazing flavor good atmosphere.

Food & atmosphere was fantastic. Only issue is the ventilation. Clothing had a strong smell of fried food afterwards.

I ordered the fish and grits! Enoki Mushrooms and Cobb Salad! I enjoyed everything! The menu is extensive, take your time to read it! Some things are not vegan, as stated by the owner and implied in the name; veganish! So, if you’re vegan pay attention!

Let’s just say I am addicted!!! Finding vegan food in New Haven was impossible! But then someone told me about this place out in Bridgeport. And after 4 orders of various sizes, I can safely say that the food is always delivered hot and fresh. It’s always packaged well and I love how they draw my name on the bag with some sort of doodle. I’ve had deliveries to from their place in Bridgeport to Shelton and Milford and it doesn’t matter, the quality is always top tier. I’ve been praying to find a good vegan spot to call home and I’m almost willing to move to Bridgeport just to eat here everyday! Thank you all so much for your efforts! I’ll see yall again on my next payday ;)

Omg omg I have found me a restaurant for life!!!!! The food was so damnnnnnnn good I couldn’t contain myself!!!! Kudos to the Chef!!!!

First time trying this place, I got the chick’n & waffles plus the cauliflower tacos. Both were out of this world, do not sleep on the cauliflower tacos though! Just the combination of sauces and flavors was incredible. The staff and owner were so very kind and friendly, the atmosphere was relaxing, they have a delicious assortment of house made iced tea, juice and lemonade. Oh and their coconut dream bar is yummy too!!! Highly recommend giving Veganish a try!

I had the pleasure of dining here in January and have been dreaming about it ever since! Everything literally tasted like classic Southern cooking, but vegan. It reminded me of my grandmothers’ cooking- lots of love, flavor, and hearty portions. The owners are incredibly nice, and the atmosphere is warm and welcoming. The menu is also quite extensive with several options to choose from. I look forward to coming back soon!
