Visited this place, nothing was good. Service very poor, you need to run to the manager to give your order, to pay your bill. No taste in food, and according to the cost is poor food and poor service. I don't prefer it to spend valuable time and waste your money.

Great experience. Food was excellent and fun to try, D was very pleasant and responsive and very accommodating with all the requests we had . The cookie butter dosa is a must try and the parathas are fresh and taste like home-cooked. Thank you D for the hospitality!

After a full day of walking, we wanted something comforting for dinner. We’d seen reviews for Dakshin Indique and decided to give it a shot, even though it meant a 40-minute drive on a rainy Tuesday night. Honestly, it was worth it. We ordered the Paneer Biryani, Chicken 65, and Chicken Biryani. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and had the right amount of spice—not overwhelming, just satisfying. Even though we’re only visiting DC, we’d definitely come back.

Ordered via DoorDash. The food was very bland, the samosa chaat was soggy and the worst of what we ordered. Everything from the naan and the dishes we ordered (chole and chicken tikka) themselves were very sub par. Would not recommend (from an Indian)

Food is so delicious. We orded GOAT BIRYANI, meat was just melting in our mouth and rice is so flavored full. My 7 years and 5 years boys had GHEE ROAST DOSA and even DOSA is so soft and crispy outside. Highly recommend 👌 Service is very impressive 👏

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Authentic South Indian Flavors That Hit Home! Had an absolutely amazing dining experience at Dakhshina in Washington! Every dish we ordered was bursting with authentic South Indian flavors. The fish curry and chicken curry were rich, aromatic, and cooked to perfection. Chicken 65 was crispy, spicy, and full of flavor — a definite crowd-pleaser! The mutton biryani was a highlight — beautifully layered with tender meat and perfectly spiced rice. We also tried the Chettinad dosa, which came with bold, spicy masala and chutneys that elevated the whole experience. To top it off, the mango lassi was thick, creamy, and refreshing — the perfect balance to the spice. The staff was warm and welcoming, and the service was prompt. If you’re looking for a true taste of South India in Washington, this place is a must-visit. Highly recommended!

The food was absolutely delicious. We had the unlimited brunch and it was a wonderful way to try a lot of their great offerings. Make sure you save some space for the desserts!
