We couldn’t pass up the opportunity to try vegan Haitian food, especially when served in an awesome funky herb shop. The Vegan Marie is a charming family-run business serving up super tasty food. During our visit, they were serving the spelt wrap filled with various vegetables and legumes. It had tons of flavor and seemed low in oil, which we hugely appreciated. The wrap came with a great dressing that it hardly needed, since the wrap already had so much flavor. It was accompanied by a side salad that was fresh and had a really tasty spicy sweet dressing. We were also offered a taste of the soursop juice which was tart and tasty.

Vegan Marie is a lovely complex store, serving amazing Haitian food in a casual atmosphere. But this only starts the story. The store has several small shops with in it. There are exotic foods, which i had not seen in other stores, the equivalent of pop up shops selling jewelry and stylish sunglasses and new offerings under construction. It has more the feel of a welcoming living room than a commercial establishment. There are several couches, including ones configured in unusual ways. There is ample parking beside the building and great hospitality within. Definitely worth the stop.
