Worth a stop if you’re traveling on 1-75. We went from the Atlanta area to a concert in Macon and needed to stop somewhere for lunch. It was so good that we stopped on the way back and loaded up on meals and juice drinks. Very generous portions and all is delicious!

OMGGGGGGG!!! I finally got a chance to experience the food here and I must say, I was thoroughly impressed. It was hard to make a selection because everything on the menu looked so good. So, I was a Big Back and ordered the loaded fries, oyster mushroom tacos, and the Soul rolls and a cold-pressed juice. Baby, that food was seasoned to the gods. It was so good. Because of the serving size, it was way too much for me to eat by myself, so I shared. I will definitely be going back for more. #newcustomer

Let me start off by saying I’m not vegan and this was my first time going to a vegan place. This place might have set the bar TOO high!!! We got their jerk mac and cheese, onion rings, and their soul roll (roll w/ Mac and cheese, greens, and mushrooms). The Mac and cheese was SOOOO good that I started jumping around 😭. It was hard to put the fork down! The onion rings were nice and crispy and the soul roll was DELISHHHH! I would go back just for the rolls. Also, the service was really nice! The girl who took the order answered my questions without being condescending about it. Overall, I would go out of my way to go back here and I would like to try other things on the menu!

The vegan side of things was impressive! Every bite was flavorful, well-seasoned, and thoughtfully prepared. It’s refreshing to find a spot where plant-based options are just as satisfying as the classics. Can’t wait to come back and try more!

As the #250th Google review for The Vegan Side Of Things, I definitely won't be the last! A fabulous Friday lunch date with my goddaughter Joslyn turned into an amazing "first time" vegan experience for us both:) Joslyn had the nachos and egg rolls. While I had the mushroom wings with lemon pepper seasoning and fried okra. When I tell you my taste buds were tantalized and pleased to a level that must be written about so others can experience this clean-eating heaven on earth for themselves. Please drive to The Vegan Side Of Things plant base restaurant in McDonough and everyone who reads this review.....can thank me now‼️

I just stumbled upon “the vegan side of things” and I drove back the next day from Macon for another meal! The food is absolutely delicious and the service was amazing. Very kind owner that is obviously passionate about his work. Even if you’re not vegan, the flavors are so amazing that I would definitely recommend giving it a try! I’m currently pushing my carnivore husband away from my jerk Mac and cheese! He can’t get enough.

The Vegan Side of Things is next level. I genuinely don’t even have the words to describe how absolutely, downright, amazingly awesome this food was! From the first bite, I was hit with this explosion of perfectly balanced flavor—like, literally every bite was seasoned to perfection. It’s the kind of food that makes you stop mid-bite and just say, “Wow.” I got the Rib Plate with cabbage, mac and cheese, and baked beans, and oh my goodness... it was an experience. I’ve never tasted such a realistic, juicy, tender rib that was 100% vegan. The flavor was so rich, tangy, and smoky—it all just melded together so beautifully. A total game changer! The mac and cheese was creamy, cheesy, and comforting, the cabbage was seasoned just right, and the baked beans? Hands down one of my favorite sides ever. That subtle sweetness they have is so addictive—I kept going back for more! And then... the Moxtails. WOW! I took one bite and literally had to run around the block to let out my excitement. (Okay, not literally, but figuratively :)) They were that amazing. The texture, the flavor, the seasoning—it was all so on point. Paired with cabbage and one of their crispy, golden egg rolls? Pure heaven. This place is a hidden gem that deserves all the love. 10s across the board. If you’re into bold, flavorful, feel-good food that just happens to be plant-based, do yourself a favor and check out The Vegan Side of Things. Your taste buds will be so thankful.
