I had never eaten at a restaurant like this, but my son lives in Chicago, and he recommended it. My food was really good. The vegan sour cream was not my favorite, but my meal was good without it. The staff was very friendly. I did have to get up and ask if they were going to take our drink orders, but we also showed up an hour before their kitchen closed. I would east here again!

best veggie rueben ever. I used to love getting real reuben’s. I got the vegan cheese, not sure if the thousand island is vegan. Almost everything here has a vegan option.

Every single thing I tried here was SO good! It's a plant-based paradise! I had a chocolate milkshake, country fried steak, and a side of mac and cheese—all vegan. I also tried a variety of their appetizers, including spinach artichoke dip, nachos, poutine, and wings. The wings in particular were out of this world 😋 The Chicago Diner is proof that you don't need to harm animals to enjoy really, really good food. I couldn't recommend this place more!

Leckeres Essen, alles ist vegan. Sehr zu empfehlen. Insbesondere die BBQ Wings haben mir sehr gut geschmeckt. Das Mac&Cheese-Side war m.E. jedoch nicht besonders gut.

We loved this place. The server was absolutely fantastic- attentive and helpful. The vibe was cool. The pictures online don’t do it justice. We thoroughly enjoyed both our sandwiches and milkshakes. The flavors were very well developed and we were impressed. We are always a bit wary of old school vegan establishments because they tend to be not as creative with flavor. But that’s not the case here! I’m really glad we gave it a chance- HIGHLY recommend!

This place is great! Especially their milkshakes and appetizers! Been coming here for over 10 years and yet it seems to get better and better! Best service ever by far within the last couple of years too! Glad this place exists!

Not what I expected based upon prior experiences of family members. Had the breaded chicken wings. The bbq sause was great, but the wings were tough. There were about 5 pieces, however, the top piece was cold whereas the others were at the temperature we expected. Also ordered the Country Fried Steak. The mashed potatoes and veggies were great, however, the steak was tough. Basically used the steak knife provided for both the steak and the wings. For dessert, I ordered the Vegan Cinnamon Roll. Great frosting, soft texture to the roll, however, the bottom was crusty. What did I do? You guessed it. I had to pull out the steak knife again. We assumed the regular cook is off on the weekends. We visited on a Sunday. Had heard rave reviews even from my wife who had visited the other location in the past. She was disappointed this time as well.
