The food here is amazing! I had a root vegetable bisque, which was delicious and then an almond tart which was also really, really good. The amazing thing is that both were vegan, but there was absolutely no compromise in taste or authentic texture and that's a real achievement. The atmosphere is chill and peaceful and service is good too.

This is such a cute cafe. The coffee and pastries are top notch! It can be tough to find good vegan pastries in Frederick, but they really nail it. I also love that they often have vegan Jewish pastries like rugelach and challah; You don't see that often. Highly reccomend checking this place out if you haven't yet. They also have a really nice outdoor seating area.

First, the espresso there is AMAZING. Catherine, the proprietress, has done a wonderful job converting what used to be a gas station into a calming, zen-like space. The menu is vegetarian, including tasty vegan options, sourced locally. I love that her homemade soups are called "Yesterday's Soup" (because soup always tastes better the next day 😁).

This was a particularly bad experience, and it warrants posting despite the fact that I really do wish this business the best. I was there about a week ago with my brother and he got severe food poisoning. He was sick for 3 days, vomiting again and again for a full day. It might have just been a bad batch, but it was REALLY an awful time for him. He went to urgent care as well when the nausea symptoms refused to go away. I want to share because in private messages with the owner, she mentioned that the rest of the batch was sold, so I was worried immediately that others had the same experience. I had gotten a fruit loaf before, and it had clumps of flour in it, which at larger volumes can also cause issues. I wish the best for this cafe, but I think they need to be more watchful with properly cooking and baking their offerings.

Tried to go a few weeks ago but they were closed even though it said open on google. Glad they have reopened. Visited today and so nice to talk to Kat, the owner about the shops and the recipes. Not busy this afternoon. Love all the dairy free, gluten free and vegan options they have here. Tried the Mac and cheese, chocolate babka and fennel almond scone. Some of the best dairy free baked goods I’ve ever had! Mac and cheese ok. They have some products from other local as well (honey, veggies, books, etc) and reading corner
