Luna Verde Vegan Mexican Restaurant

Just went to Luna Verde for the first time last night and it was amazing. Best vegan Mexican food I’ve ever had and I’ve been vegan for 22 years! I will definitely be back. The online ordering isn’t the best but the food more than makes up for it. Absolutely outstanding food

I hate to leave bad reviews especially for vegan restaurants. I also try to give people a second chance. I tried this place 3 times and it was an awful experience every time. Ridiculously long waits, over-the-top rudeness from owner and staff. Food was ok, but nothing extraordinary. Pricing for the food was a lot more than what is worth. Honestly, even if they offered me free food I would not go back because of the awful rudeness. So many other places to choose from who treat customers much better. Sadly, I would rather order the vegan option from an Omni restaurant than return here.

I have eaten here for years. It is the best Mexican I’ve ever had and the best food in any NJ beach town. The owner is a lovely woman and her food is the absolute freshest and most delicious you’ll find in the area. Do not be deterred if you are not vegan, this food can compete with any. It is one of my favorite places to eat in the world.

Top notch Mexican food that just so happens to be vegan. Everything on menu is delicious! Must try. Highly recommend

Best Mexican, vegan or not! I always know it’s going to be a good day when I can eat here! The churros are so fresh and amazing love it. I do wish they would have indoor eating again, but otherwise you can’t miss this place.

Luna Verde has the best Mexican food I have ever had in my life! As a vegan, them having an entirely plant based menu is so wonderful, although I’m sure anybody in the world would enjoy their food. Everything is made to order for takeout and they have a cute little picnic area outside you’re able to eat your food at. They often have specials like churros and tres leche. Their food is so packed with flavor and you can’t tell it’s very carefully made with so much love. The staff upon pickup of your food are always friendly and you will leave smiling!

Birria tacos, nachos, guac, churros. Can't go wrong with anything on the menu, actually. They switch it up with specials and I've never had a bad meal or bad experience, period. Their West Indian/Caribbean specials are perfection. Consistently amazing. Owners are so darn talented, creative, engaging, and friendly. I always leave feeling better than I did walking in. I keep telling them I'll wash the dishes for free just to hang out and soak up the vibes but they haven't taken me up on that yet 😂 Birria tacos are especially good, whether you're a vegan or not. If you're a human being with taste buds, do yourself a favor and order.
