Went here when passing through ABQ. Really had high hopes but this place was out of rice AND out of vegetables. What kind of vegetarian restaurant runs out of rice and vegetables? I’ve been vegan for over 20 years and that’s never happened so have to give them a fail. Maybe I’ll give them another shot when they get some rice and vegetables.

Nice place to eat. Though the service was lacking. When my drink was served, it sloshed a little . The server wiped it up, but as it dried, it got sticky. I asked for a damp rag to wipe it up. I was given a dry towel. I told him that I needed a damp one, it sprayed some cleaner on it. As I tried to wipe away the stickiness, the rag did little to clean the spot. I wound up laying the towel out over the spot and placed my meal over it to eat.

This is a very strict Ayurvedic restaurant. So strict, I was told by an employee (after I asked for ice water) that they “didn’t have ice” & could be fired for putting ice in water because it doesn’t follow Ayurvedic principles. Sometimes, people want a vegetarian meal, but don’t follow Ayurveda. Maybe explain to them the ice situation, but give them the option of still having it in their water if they ask for it. I’m saying this because the time before I was told by another employee upon ordering that you all didn’t have ice (but not told why), but it miraculously appeared in my water when brought to my table. Last time, I was downright refused ice. Also, I ordered veg # 2 today which was advertised as having black eyed peas (the main reason I ordered the dish) and turnips. It had neither, yet I wasn’t told upon ordering/paying that it had chickpeas instead. If you advertise the veg of the day dish as having specific vegetables, then you should serve those vegetables or let the customer know it’s not as described BEFORE they pay. To make it worse, they charge extra if you want rice. Rice should always be included!
