We had an amazing experience here! We were visiting from Chicago and found AU through a google search for Brooklyn vegan restaurants. The owner was very kind, accommodating, and made great suggestions. We had the smash burger, jerk jackfruit, Mac and cheese, and corn cake- all 11/10! The place is definitely a vibe, very upbeat and you can tell this establishment is a pillar of their community. We can’t wait to visit again!! Thank you!!

I couldn't be more impressed with this place. The portions will fill you up without emptying your wallet. Their cooking shows attention to detail. Their personnel were cordial, supportive, and detailed. Every creation here is worth trying.

The simple chicken sandwich is what made me finally crossover into enjoying veganism after realizing you can actually have food that makes you not miss meat. Before this sandwich I thought it was so weird that people kept making mushroom burgers sound like they tasted good lol. This is what me of my favorite/go to places now that I’m fully plant based. Their waffles, home fries, and salads are also faces. The side salad is always different which I appreciate. The jerk jackfruit sandwich was just okay. I expected it to be a hit, but I didn’t really care for it. It didn’t have that unforgettable jerk flavor that you miss as a vegan. Especially as someone who used to loveeee jerk chicken. Customer service is always great as well. They take a while to prepare the food, but it’s worth the wait knowing it’s made fresh every time!!
