Pure Soul

If I could give this place more stars, I would. First, the atmosphere in the restaurant is so nice. There are plants and just fun details everywhere, and you can tell based on the products they use that they truly care about being sustainable. The staff are so nice. It was incredibly busy, like a 30 minute wait for food to come out. They still took the time to talk to customers, greet regulars, and just had a generally positive attitude. The customer service was awesome, and I overheard them offering drinks to people while they waited for their takeout orders. I could see them going the extra mile. The menu is fantastic, and as someone with celiac, I'm used to having only one, maybe two options. This place is allergen friendly heaven. They label the menu items with allergen warnings on the menu so you don't even have to ask, and clearly label any available swaps. The food is fantastic, and you get so much on your plate. And there are free drink refills, which isn't always the case for small, local spots! This place has automatically become my favorite restaurant. The two words that come to mind to describe it are delightful and delicious.

We have been coming here for years. Soul Rolls and cheese fries are our favorites but their plates and desserts are all amazing! Great people and service as well as out of this world vegan food!

Friendly attentive staff in a relaxing environment. Food: lots of options, great tasting and sizeable portions. I wish the burger options were homemade and not Impossible brand.

If I lived in Durham I would eat here all the time.

Never had vegan food before. The pasta salad and the banana pudding cake was really delicious.

Everything about my experience was exceptional. I ordered my food to go and decided to taste it before I left and it was almost all gone by the time I was leaving. The soul Mac n cheese, potato salad, coleslaw, the eastern BBQ plate was amazing. The cheesecake, the triple chocolate brownie and pecan loaf. All amazing!!! The people. The atmosphere. The vibe.The location . The food. Did I mention the food?! I will definitely visit again when I'm in Durham, NC. I wasn't thinking to take pics, I couldn't wait.

1st time, we live about an hour away. We tried the Kids BBQ Sandwich, Kids Chicken Sandwich, BBQ Plate, and sides Cornbread, Cheese Fries, Mac & Chz, Greens and the Soup Rolls. All of it was delicious, 4yo and 12yo approved!!!

Slow as hell….

We talked with the staff, they've been in business for 4 years, this is a hidden gem that we did not know of, staff was friendly, service was good and the food was more than we expected or anticipated. I'd definitely recommend it, and even the desserts were on point .

Delicious food! This was my second visit to Pure Soul and I loved it. The BBQ is flavorful and has a great texture. The vegan mac and potato salad are delicious as well. Huge fan of the soul rolls too! I highly recommend this restaurant.
