Romeo's Vegan Burgers

My husband grew up in Greensboro and we have been following Romeo’s for a while. I was excited when we planned a visit and looked forward to trying it out. We had just arrived in town after driving 8.5 hours and went in to order food at about 8 - 8:30 pm on Tuesday, July 1st. The young man working didn’t greet us and was on his phone. He then walked behind the counter, still on his phone, asked what we wanted, still on the phone. We had a few questions, so he then tells someone on the phone “hold on bae”, and takes our order. We pay for our food and he proceeds to cook our food, still on the phone. With my daughters and I being vegan we were excited about visiting multiple times, but did not return because of our service. I have family in Asheville and wouldn’t recommend going because our first impression. Disappointing!! May give it another try our next visit and hope for better.

My friend and I visited this establishment on June 23rd, 2025, expecting a great new food experience, but unfortunately, it turned out to be a disappointing one. When we walked in, we immediately noticed the store was empty, except for a woman sitting in one of the dine-in chairs, engrossed in her phone. We approached the register and spent about six minutes discussing our order. During that time, no one came to assist us. Out of curiosity, I looked behind the counter to see if anyone was available—but there was no one in sight. We soon realized that the woman still sitting on her phone next to us must have been a staff member. After calling out to her multiple times, she finally responded on the third attempt. When we asked if she worked there, she said yes and apologized, claiming she hadn't heard us come in—despite us standing and talking right next to her. The lack of attentiveness and poor customer service left both of us extremely disappointed, and we decided to leave and dine elsewhere.

The burgers are absolutely delicious 😋, however the floors and bathroom really needs attention 😶.....

Really wanted to like this place. I'll never know, the one employee never looked at us or the other guy that was waiting to pick food up. Went next door to Don which was great, has air conditioning, was prompt, and it actually seemed like they were happy to have the business. Don't waste your time here.

burger was so good i had to immediately write a review… holy moly. couldn’t even tell it was vegan… it was SO GOOD!!! i wish i weren’t visiting Greensboro or else id come back every day…

Food was great, they just need more people working. Only one person was cooking, so it took very long time for our food.

Romeo's burgers are delicious! Taste just like the real thing and their fries are great. If you get a chance, try the House Sauce. Adds just the right amount of flavor to your fries/tots.

OMG!! You don't have to be plant based to go nuts for these burgers!! Juicy and messy like a burger should be. Run, don't walk to Romeo's!!! You'll thank me.

Excellent service. Patiently took our order, food we got was hot and tasty, and bathrooms were clean! Delicious sauces!
