My wife and I were visiting and exploring Waitsfield, VT for the first time, and we’re so glad we stumbled upon Three Mountain Café. From the moment we walked in, we felt welcomed and at ease, this place has that authentic, small-town charm that makes you want to linger. I ordered the Spicy Turkey Club Panini from their panini section ($13), and it was excellent. It came with Farmer’s & Cooks fireside turkey breast, tomato, cheddar, chipotle mayo, all pressed on a fresh baguette (I opted to skip the bacon). The sandwich had the perfect balance of flavor and spice, the chipotle mayo brought just the right kick, and the turkey was juicy and flavorful. The bread was warm and crisp, holding everything together without overpowering the ingredients. A really satisfying, thoughtfully prepared lunch. The staff were friendly, laid-back, and helpful. Even though it was our first time in, they made us feel welcomed. They gave great menu suggestions, and service was quick but never rushed. You can tell they care about the quality of what they serve and the experience they provide. Three Mountain Café has a cozy, welcoming vibe that fits perfectly with the laid-back spirit of the Mad River Valley. There’s plenty of seating, local art on the walls, and a community feel that makes it a great spot to relax with a cup of coffee or a light meal. It’s the kind of place where locals and visitors mix naturally, and you leave feeling like you found something special. Whether you’re passing through Waitsfield or spending the day exploring, Three Mountain Café is absolutely worth a stop. Great food, kind people, and a warm atmosphere.

Literally was in here for like an hour and a half, we waited at least an hour fifteen to all get food. Coffee came out quick, but the sandwiches literally took soooooo longgggg. The food was good too, but something needs to change to make food come out quicker when it’s busy. Aside from that Staff was very nice and the coffee dude was killing it big props to him he was really nice too.

Was in there for an hour and a half, waited 30 minutes to order and waited an hour for the food itself. The staff themselves were great and so was the atmosphere, but something in management needs to change. I understand it’s a holiday and it’s busy, but a warning about the times would’ve been appreciated so we knew what we were in for. The food is good, but not worth an hour and a half of waiting.

Edit for most recent visit 7/2/25 and 7/3/2025…. This place is still so good! Did I go there for maple scones two days in a row?? YES! Was the staff working there so kind?? YES! Will I return on next vacation??!! YES!! (Please never get rid of the maple scones.) (And full disclaimer…I do not work for Big Maple.) My old review from a couple of years ago…. Sometimes there is nothing better than an unexpected delight. Today my coffee and perfect maple scone were absolute delights!!!! I went here because my husband wanted a coffee as we were driving past from the local grocery store. This was unplanned, but soooooo good!!! And I enjoyed the lovely people working there too! Kind and funny! I will be back for sure! (Actually, I will be back Tuesday because I already preordered their special Tuesday donuts! Hope those are good too…though I think it will be hard to top the amazing maple scone!)

Food wasn't great and the prices were ridiculous. They're going to put themselves out of business if they don't lower their prices. Also limited lunch menu and too many drinks instead
