HEADS UP: When I visited Pailin recently, the owner said they're moving when their lease is up at the end of July. Rent increased by $10k a month, and it's already exorbitant. She's keeping a list of customers to contact once they reopen somewhere. Yet another family business shuts down due to landlord GREED. REVIEW: Great food, excellent service, owner is friendly and kind, as is everyone I've dealt with. My favorite is yellow curry/chicken. But everything I've had has been delicious!!

The restaurant is beautifully decorated, peaceful, and spacious, and the gentleman who helped us was very kind and professional. The peanut sauce has depth while still being plenty sweet, the veggie servings are generous, curries are well balanced, and the larb kai is well spiced and has a great texture. Great food at great prices in a great space with great energy. Thank you, Pailin Thai!

By far the best vegetarian Thai food place in San Diego. We had vegetarian soup with coconut broth, papaya salad (without shrimp!), egg fried rice (the best), Se-Ew noodles, and coconut ice cream, all great choices. He gives $15 back if you buy $100 gift card which I think is a great deal. Overall, money well spent. Freshness in every dish.

Five stars isn’t enough for the vibes at this place. Ice-cold beer in frosty glasses? Yes, please. Jasmine tea so good it made us question all other teas. And Pete—legend. Friendly, on point, and made us feel like VIPs at a Thai paradise. We’ll be dreaming about this meal for weeks. 🙌🍻🍜

I come here often because of the great service, delicious food, and the atmosphere. The reasonable price is an added bonus. A true gem in the RB area.

Great place, great food, great people!

What a lovely family, delicious food, and great experience for an Arizonan. The sizzling ribs, yellow curry, spicy noodles and green beans cannot be beat.

Consistently great food. Just take their price levels seriously. Drunken noodles hit the spot.

In Bernardo center there is a row of restaurants, amongst them is Pailin Thai cafe. The inside is very quaint, and the service started out attentive. We arrived for lunch and ordered off lunch menu, Tom yum soup and the cashew chicken. The prices for the lunch were very reasonable, and the food was tasty but the lunch portion was very tiny. Once the food arrived all the wait staff disappeared and until we stood up and found someone we’d have never left. Although good the tiny portions and the service made this place an okay place to check out.
