Went for brunch this weekend visiting family. Cute spot in the heart of ridgefield.. dog friendly outside, friendly and bubbly staff. Diana and Patrick went above and beyond! The Croque Madam with grits was very decadent and filling. Great bloody Mary’s too. Looking forward to returning for dinner!

A Hidden Gem in Ridgefield That Keeps Getting Better Tucked away in the heart of Ridgefield, Bailey's Backyard is one of those rare treasures you hesitate to share with the world—only because you want to keep it all to yourself. I've been dining here for over 15 years, and somehow, each visit still manages to surprise and delight me. What keeps me coming back? It's the food, of course—but not just any food. It's creative, delicious, and wildly eclectic, crafted with care by a culinary team that clearly loves what they do. Owner and Chef Sal Bagliavio has cultivated something special here. Alongside his talented chefs—including Chefs David, Forest and Haley, whose culinary fingerprints are on every plate—the kitchen turns out dishes that are thoughtful, seasonal, and full of soul. But Bailey’s Backyard isn’t just about what’s on the plate. It’s about how you’re made to feel from the moment you walk in. The front-of-house team—Patrick, TJ, Braydon, Kaci, Abby, and Dianna—welcome you like an old friend returning home. There's nothing cookie-cutter here. The team is genuinely friendly, flexible, and always ready to enhance your experience. And don’t be surprised if Chef David himself emerges from the kitchen with a smile to check in—another touch that makes Bailey’s so personal and memorable. If you're looking to shake up your midweek dining, Wednesdays are a must. That’s when Bailey’s rolls out its legendary “Tasting Menu”—a series of small plates showcasing experimental dishes the chefs are testing for future menus. It’s like getting a sneak peek behind the culinary curtain, and more often than not, the test dishes end up being showstoppers. It’s a delicious reminder that Bailey’s is always evolving, always creating. This place is more than a restaurant—it’s a local institution that’s grown into a trusted favorite. Whether you're a longtime fan or discovering it for the first time, you’re in for something truly special.

This place is amazing. Farm to table, locally sourced and always accommodated my gluten allergy. The manager Pat and owner Sal are always welcoming and chef David crushes the seasonal menu every time. The duck on the current menu is the best and Wednesday tasting menus always are a nice surprise. Outdoor dining is a vibe in the summer as well
