Dhabewala Indian Shack

We arrived on the later end of Sunday evening without reservations and had a bit of a wait. We debated whether to wait since we had children with us but we’re SO glad we did! Absolutely delicious! We ordered an array of dishes including samosas, bhel poori, tikka masala, vindaloo, tandoori which were all AMAZING! Flavors were spot on and the tandoori chicken was so tender- falling all the bone. We’ve found our new fav Indian spot. The host and waitress could not be more inviting and gracious. All around a wonderful restaurant!

Good food. Best Vada Pao. Quick service.

Service is more than excellent. Vina and karishma ,the servers are wonderful. Their smiles adds to the experience. Food is wonderful. I know atmosphere is op purposely mimicking as track shack but the quality of food doesn't match the atmosphere. Foods are too good for decor.

We love coming to Dhabewala and highly recommend it! It’s a very friendly and comfortable place, with nice decor, and the food is delicious! We had a great dinner tonight - Palak Paneer, Aloo Baingan, Samosa, and Garlic Naan. Our server, Vini, took great care of us. She was attentive and warm. We look forward to returning. Thank you!

Lovely spot! Amazing food!!

If you're visiting this restaurant and haven't tried their Desi Grill Fish, you're truly missing out! This dish is an absolute standout – perfectly marinated with bold, authentic spices and grilled to perfection. The flavors are rich, smoky, and bursting with that true desi kick we all love. I’ve had grilled fish at many places, but nothing compares to the balance of spice and tenderness they’ve achieved here. It’s juicy, flavorful, and leaves you wanting more with every bite. Everyone must try this item – it's a hidden gem that deserves to be the star of the menu. Highly recommended for all seafood lovers and spice enthusiasts!

I recently visited this place and tried their Vada Pav and Maggi Masala—both were absolutely delicious! The Vada Pav was perfectly crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, with just the right amount of spice. The chutneys added a burst of flavor that took it to the next level. It felt like a bite straight from the streets of Mumbai! The Maggi Masala was a nostalgic treat—comforting, flavorful, and cooked to perfection with veggies and a spicy kick that made it stand out. Highly recommend this spot if you’re craving some classic Indian street food done right. Can’t wait to go back!

Very bad experience Not so good food test very bad every thing was very salty food I ordered 3/4 items but not one thing good

Never in my life have I ordered chicken tikka masala and not received rice with it… very ghetto. So $20 for just the chicken? At least indicate that on the menu, so I don’t have to make rice when my food arrives, lol Food was fine, but that part ruined it for me 👎🏼

Dhabewala is an awesome Indian restaurant in Stamford with bold flavors and great service. They have a cute interior decorated like an Indian street food stall. Make sure to try their Indo-Chinese fusion menu which you will find nowhere else!
