Very cute looking place! It came recommended from many Kansas City locals. And the person taking orders was super friendly. But sadly, this had to be one of the worst brunches I’ve ever had— soggy diner food at trendy bistro prices. My mushrooms Benedict was just a notch above inedible. The GF pancake was pretty good, although very mushy. The espresso tasted rancid. I did a spit take like a cartoon character. I hate being rude in reviews, but really, this was inexcusably subpar. Like how small-town restaurants used to taste in the ‘90s. Business was brisk though, so I guess it still has a loyal following! If they put in an effort on the food, I’d definitely be back!

The servers were great and everyone was very helpful. Excellent atmosphere with funky art and a cool building. The food was excellent as well, we had an omelet, the smoked salmon benny and pancakes. The pancakes were enormous and delicious. My only gripe is that the menu prices online were about 50% lower than the actual prices in the restaurant. Expect $14-16 per plate and a $1 up charge for every modification. The website says $10 - $12 per plate. The cost is justified and the food is high quality with generous portions. I have a big family and we carefully consider the cost of eating out when we do, so I was surprised to see such a difference in prices.

It s different , i always judge a restaurant by how well favored they are, ppl seem to love it, however, when i go out to eat i prefer a server.

It was our first visit but hopefully not our last. We had the vegan French toast, vegan sink, fresh fruit, and Little Richards. Everything was fresh and delicious. The service was excellent. The vibe was very comfortable and inclusive. I only regret that we didn't get to try the Modern Elvis or the vegan shortstack. Next time we're in KC, we'll be back for another amazing breakfast.

I ordered one blueberry pancake with a side of potatoes. The pancake was the size of a frozen pizza. Which was much larger than I expected. The blueberries were small and did not overwhelm the pancake. The syrup was standard, and so was the taste. My guess is that it was not 100% maple syrup due to its thickness. The potatoes, however, had more of a distinct taste that was quite enjoyable. The establishment was quaint, and the order then find a seat system worked well. You simply received a number on a stand and then waited for your order to be delivered. Everything came out relatively fast during a busy time.

Great little breakfast/brunch location. They now have a fast-casual setup where you order at a counter & receive a number then the food is brought to your table. The decor is eclectic and there's a lot to enjoy. Several vegan-friendly breakfast options including the vegan sink, vegan pancakes (can add blueberries), vegan French toast and more! They've also got fantastic fresh juices.

The best pancakes. All of the breakfast items are good. Oddly coffee which is an added bonus. Would not bring my kids the first time to assess your level of comfort for future visits. Kinda dark atmosphere which is why I marked it a 4. Very friendly staff and very fast no matter how busy they are. Truly a great and unique experience. Excellent food and service.
