Thai Plates is the real deal. Everything is flavored perfectly and even their Thai iced tea is phenomenal. Their pricing and portions are very fair, and I cannot recommend this place enough. Great for takeout. The only negative I can think of is their parking situation as it is a busy road with a lot of construction going on.

This place has nothing to do with authentic Thai food, not even close

We tried Thai Plates in Jersey City and left a bit underwhelmed. We ordered the Drunken Noodles and the Signature Udon. The Drunken Noodles was pretty bland and lacked the bold flavors you’d expect from Thai cuisine. Portion sizes were also on the smaller side, especially considering the price point. The presentation was nice and the service was decent, but overall, the food was just okay.

Thai is my go to for takeout and delivery and this was my first time at Thai plates - did not disappoint!!! My go to based on the menu is drunken noodle and also got fried rice - great taste and depth of flavors! The MVP was definitely the drinks - best Thai tea and matcha I’ve had in a while (home made, fresh, cute presentation) and was generously offered by the owner. The only feedback is expand the menu so I can come back to Tom kha or massaman curry or khao soi :)

On the hunt for some local bomb drunken noodles since my favorite place, Sky Thai, closed down near Exchange. My ideal drunken noodle has good, high spice levels, Chinese broccoli, Thai basil, bell peppers, and onion, and a nice dark sheen from a good sauce. This place does it a bit differently but still oh so good. The heat levels are just right; the sauce a little paler though. The vegetables they add are carrots, tomatoes, Thai basil (but I wish there was more), regular broccoli, bell peppers, and onions. Personally, I wish it had my veggie combo preference but everything is cooked so well they absorb all the sauce and every vegetable is delicious. The noodles themselves are perfectly cooked and chewy every bite. The only thing that got to me was the price, I wish it was a little cheaper than $17 for a plate. But for a new local place to beat all other competitors in the area, I’m not complaining about a new great addition to my neighborhood.

The red curry is very good but the mango sticky rice is very very bad. The rice is hard and the mango is raw not at all ripe. It is already the mango season. This is not how the mango sticky rice is served. I also added instructions for ripe mangoes.

Best Thai food around. Everything is delicious and made with fresh ingredients.

Couldn’t recommend this place more! We really needed a great Thai option in Jersey city and man do they deliver. I got the drunken noodles with tofu and Thai tea and they were both so so good. My husband got the beef pad see ew and he loved it as well. We also recommend getting the mango sticky rice! You can tell they’ve put so much thought into every detail, can’t wait to order again!

I had spring roll, drunken noodle , crispy chicken and basil fried rice . All exceptional !
