My girlfriend and I went here for lunch and sat outside in the garden, which is nice on a cool day. Our server was nice and also attentive, he checked on us enough without being a bother. We shared everything, like we always do. We ordered the smoked brisket burrito, steak and eggs, and brioche French toast. brisket burrito-very good huge burrito very good flavors with fresh salsa. steak & eggs-we asked for medium but it came out med well but still tasted good. the rice and pepper chimichurri was very tasty. French toast- crispy crust moist inside perfect amount of sweetness. We would definitely come back and explore more of the menu.

One of my favorite go to spots to 10/10 you can never go wrong. Me and my cousin came and the customer service is always excellent the restaurant itself is beautiful and the food is delicious. I hate the parking in the area but I can not complain about this spot. %100 recommend

I just have not been having good experiences here. This is my second time visiting and the same experience. No one is speaking to you no one is introducing themselves as your waitress in a timely manner. Maybe i’m invisible. Left before getting an opportunity to order anything for the second time. *Edit. Thanks for your response. I hope that it gets better.

Went on a Thursday night and sat in the patio. Music was playing. They have happy hour till 7. Great 3 dollar tacos. And a huge portion of the menu is dairy, gluten free or both. Really delicious food

**UPDATE** I have been back to Front Street Cafe several times since the below incident and I have had nothing but good experiences with the staff! Some of their vegan food doesn't hit like it used to though- I used to love the kale cesar salad with grilled tofu but it was mediocre at best the last 2 times I got it. I also thought the french onion soup was way too salty- other people at the table felt similarly. The buffalo cauliflower wings continue to be amazing though, and the fried mozzarella was really good (the group I was with didn't even know it was vegan cheese!). Great spot for vegans and omnivores ! ______________ I used to love Front Street cafe, they used to have some of the best vegan brunch options in the city, however, I had a very off putting experience this past weekend and it has taken me several days to decide if I would even write a review. When my table of 4 arrived Saturday promptly for a 1 o'clock reservation it took 15 minutes, after we were seated, for our server to greet us and take our drink order- and this required us actively flagging them down. Our server had been to the table directly behind us several times in this time frame. An additional 15 minutes went by and we (again) flagged our server down (after they were walking away from checking in on the table behind us) and we kindly asked if someone could please take our order. They said "okay" and stared at us- the person at my table had to clarify if they were the person who would be taking our order. Our server missed items that were ordered and put items in incorrectly. I have never had such terrible service here before, and understand people have off days, but the server was actively engaging with the table directly behind us and checking in on them frequently, while we were ignored. I can't help but feeling like there was some sort of bias at play here. It was extremely uncomfortable and I will certainly refrain from bringing people here in the future.

A bit put off seeing as they charge a 2% service fee for dine in, and we’re also expected to tip on top of that: why are you passing the charges to the customers when you could just pay your staff more? Dining out is expensive already. No other restaurant I’ve been to does this so if I had a choice I would never come here.
