I ordered food at the same time as the other 2 people at my table, but didn't get my pancake order with the rest. They mixed up or forgot my order, and by the time they arrived I had finished my chai latte over ten minutes ago and my friends had almost finished their meal. Since I took photos, I know my pancakes took twice as long as others' food to arrive. The chai latte was also not good, and small for the price. Won't be coming back.

Went on the 4th and it was absolutely slammed which I'm sure affected the service. I'd give 3.5 if I could. The food was excellent.. vegan peach pancakes OMG. The bacon was perfect, not greasy and just the right amount of crispy. The chai latte was also delicious. I dont mind waiting nearly an hour for a table but when I do my expectation is that I waited for attentive, and somewhat fast service. When I approached the outdoor hostess desk some guests familiar to the hostess arrived at the same time. She went inside with them and it was over 5 minutes before she came back. Then there were 2 guests whose table was ready and she greeted them before me. She was very friendly, but as a former hostess it's important to acknowledge people quickly and in the order they arrived. Once I was sat I waited at least 10 minutes before my server came. Again, very nice and friendly but I think everyone was just too busy to give excellent service. It was not bad service by any means, just slow. When i paid I was told she'd be right back with my copy. She did not return. I'd happily return on a slower day to give Jam a 2nd chance and would still recommend it to anyone. Just don't expect 5 star service and you'll enjoy it!

I went there on a Wednesday morning. Arrived around 9am. No line to get in, at that point. I have been there before but had never noticed the list of “rules,” posted on the “welcome/please wait for a host to seat you” table. My (adult) daughter asked us: what’s with all of the rules? One of which was they didn’t seat incomplete parties. When we were to be seated, she asked us how many. As there were 3 of us, I replied with: 3, we read the rules. Everything was okay. Food, meh. Not the best life ever had, and not as good as I’ve had there before. 3 beverages were ordered and two of them arrived. I had to ask if my idea coffee was still coming. She said it was and went to get it. When it arrived I asked for a straw, which she said she’d go get and never did, so I went to the bar to get one. When we were ready to leave and all paid up I asked for a to-go cup for my coffee, as it was still full. She said she’d get me one and then…didn’t. It was when I looked over and saw her chatting with a co-worker, that I, again, went to the bar to get one. It was not a slammed weekend morning. It wasn’t even a slammed Wednesday morning. Not sure why I couldn’t get a straw and/or a to-go cup. Will I go back? Likely not, as the food wasn’t good enough to balance out the lack of service.

I asked for a utensils and I really did ask for it and I wasn't careful to put it in! I had to eat scrambled eggs with my hands, without napkins. the pancake was burnt on one side and had a bitter taste, the cream spread out on the packaging and leaked, I'm eating it with my hands and it's all messy! You could put the lemon/blueberry cream in a separate packaging like you did with the ketchup, on the side. Suggestion for those who want to go, I don't know the service yet, but I found the food to have a pleasant flavor, but the service from those who organize delivery was terrible, they should be more attentive and careful with customers from a distance. terrible customer experience, still tasting the bitter taste of the pancake

The food was pretty good, nothing to write home about. We got the huevos rancheros, lacked sauce and salt, and dever omelet, lacked salt and pepper.

This was our seventh year visiting Portland and the first year we have gone to Jam. It was so good we came back a couple of times and also ordered carryout one day. Im not a bloody mary consumer but tasted someone else’s and was hooked. The Big Dill is amazing. 9/10. Lol I think they make their own mixer and the vodka is infused. Great service from all of the staff! Highly recommend!

It’s a decent breakfast. I wouldn’t wait a half hour for a table. Everything was just ok-good, not spend your morning waiting good, my favorite thing here was the English muffins with house jam. Hot sauce is actually hot. Jam doesn’t really have that “set your self apart” menu to warrant a wait 30min like some Portland breakfast spots do. My hash browns weren’t fully cooked in the middle, sausage links are decent but not seasoned for breakfast imo. Maybe the French toast is where it’s at? One thing I don’t understand is the have sausage but they don’t make sausage gravy hmmmm only vegaterian.. it’s a bit pricey too
