Unfortunately, the food just was quite bad. Between me and the rest of my party, we got the curry, udon, onigiri, and croquettes, and miso tofu and we all agreed it was just quite bad. Very salty, and without much other flavor. Also, seemingly everything was scorched on top with a blowtorch, giving it a burnt carbon flavor. Even the onigiri and tofu. The tofu was by far the worst. Tough and spongy with a cold, soggy breading, and a cloyingly salty miso paste globbed on the top. I couldn't stomach it.

Food was really good despite it was vegan, prices were surprise for what you are getting on positive side of that sentence. Lady who was taking care of our table was bit sarcastic at times but made me feel like home in very weird passive aggresive way. Theres a lot of paintings of cats which is really complimenting the vibe - would recommend coming here

Some of the best food I have ever had in my life and on 2 continents. My only regret is I didn't eat there sooner or I would've made repeat visits during my stay here. The miso soup was delicious and full of flavor, the tofu katsu was perfect, and the potato salad was to die for. So good I ordered a 2nd meal to go to eat later. The staff was very friendly and helpful, the atmosphere was awesome and had some of my favorite music playing! I would return in a heartbeat in another visit to Portland! ごちそうさまでした!

Absolutely delicious onigiri! Their udon soup was also amazing! Noodles are made in house and are perfectly chewy. The service was magnificent as well! Highly recommend for anyone. Their allergens are very well labeled and the staff was super knowledgeable! Note that they do only have 1 fryer so there may be cross contamination between gluten/non gluten ingredients which the server kindly informed us before ordering. Amazing experience, definitely a must try!

the food is so mind blowingly good and the people are so lovely. I’m not a big indoor dining person but this is the exception, it’s a gorgeous experience full of pleasure and delight.
